What I say:

Packaging:
Maybelline New York Strobing Cream comes in a plastic tube with a nozzle secured by a screw cap. The tube comes in a cardboard box that has all the details. The nozzle dispenses controlled amount of cream. This makes it mess free and wastage free. The tube is compact and travel friendly.

Physical Appearance:
Maybelline New York Strobing Cream has thick paste like consistency. The shade Pink is more silvery than pink but does have pink undertone.

Fragrance:
Maybelline New York Strobing Cream does not have a noticeable smell.

Verdict:
Maybelline New York Strobing Cream is a cream highlighter. The shade I got is Pink, and it is more silvery than pink. It has very thick consistency. It does not blend easily you have to work with it. It dries quickly, so you have to be very quick with the application.
On the website, they say that it can be used as alone, mix with primer, mix with foundation, or spotlight high points of the face. Let’s look at all these usage one by one.
I wore this strobing cream after applying moisturizer, and my face was looking metallic. So, you cannot wear this alone except if you are doing robot makeup.
The box in which the tube came also said that it can be used as a primer. So, I used it as a primer and applied foundation. This did not work for me, as it highlighted my pores.
Next, I mixed the strobing cream with the primer. I apply my primer with a dabbing motion and this cream requires a lot of blending. So I do not prefer this.
Now, about mixing with the foundation is a good option, as both the foundation and the strobing cream will blend properly.
I used this cream to highlight high points of my face. This is a very light highlighter. You can use to for casual wear but this will not work for party wear.
You just need a little quantity of this cream. It is not light weight as in you can feel that something is on your face.
Apply the strobing cream before the foundation, to get a dewy makeup look.
You can mix the cream with matte finish foundation to make it dewy finish foundation.
The strobing cream can also be used on eyelids as eye shadow for the glow.
I use this strobing cream as a highlighter and then add my usual highlighter to get the extra glow. The staying power of highlighter increases if you do this.
Maybelline New York Strobing Cream works only with sheer to medium coverage foundation.
Maybelline New York Strobing Cream is my first strobing cream and I liked the result. My makeup looks glowy and natural after using this cream.
The steps I follow are: First good hydrating moisturizer, then a primer, then I apply this cream and last I apply my foundation.
Maybelline New York Strobing Cream is a good affordable illuminator. People, who prefer dewy makeup, should definitely buy this. And people who are looking for a subtle highlighter should go for this.

Pros:
  • Dewy makeup
  • Subtle highlighter
  • Little quantity required
  • Natural glow

Cons:
  • Too silvery
  • Does not blend easily
  • Dries quickly

Will I repurchase? Maybe, I want to try other strobing cream or shades.
