Innisfree is a South Korean Cosmetics brand owned by Amore Pacific. Amore Pacific is the largest skincare and Cosmetics Company in South Korea. Innisfree was founded in 2000 and launched in India in 2013. Many of Innisfree products’ ingredients are from ‘Jeju Island’.

How to use:

• After cleansing, apply onto dry face, avoiding the eye and lip area. 
• After 10 minutes, gently massage with fingertips while rinsing off with lukewarm water. 
• Use 1-2 times a week.

Packaging:

It comes in a plastic tub with an aluminium lid. When you open the lid there is a plastic lid that protects the product from drying. The tub comes in a cardboard box. All the details are mentioned on the cardboard box. The tub has some details mentioned on it. The packaging is travel friendly.

Physical Appearance:

The product is grey in colour. The texture is thick and smooth.

Fragrance:

The product has a mild smell like any other clay mask.

Benefits of natural ingredients:

·         Volcanic Ash: to help address skin problems such as rashes, blemishes, wrinkles, acne, exfoliating.

·         Walnut Shell Powder: for moisturizing skin and for glowing skin.

·         Scoria: it is a volcanic rock that has exfoliating property.

Verdict:

I am very fond of clay mask, so bought this one to give it a try. I used it on my face after washing my face. The consistency is thick but it spreads evenly on the skin (you can add rose water). It takes approximately 10 min to dry depending on the environment and skin type. After drying, the mask is not rock solid and can be easily removed. I could see my pores were shrunk and the effect stays for 5-6 hours. I have combination skin; the sebum was controlled for a day. The lactic acid present in the mask is a good exfoliator. The mask is very effective on tiny blackheads (but not the huge ones). The deep cleansing works well on the skin. It shrinks acne as well. The mask has a cooling and soothing effect on your skin. You feel refreshed after applying the mask. The skin feels soft and firm. The skin appears brighter; the brightness stays for a day. It’s really good mask for when the temperature goes up as it has cooling effect. In winters it does dries the skin a little (do not forget to use a moisturizer). All in all a really good clay mask that has variety of benefits, that is suitable for all skin types. Though it is expensive, but a little quantity goes a long way. Buy it only if you are a fan of Korean beauty products.
