How to use:

Poreless Powder comes in a plastic dual flip case. The top is a peek-a-boo lid,
on which the shade no. and name are specified. The bottom lid has mirror and
sponge applicator. All the details are mentioned at the bottom. The case is
sturdy and lids sit tightly. The compact case is travel friendly. But the
problem is that the mirror is provided at the bottom so every time you have to
see the mirror you have to flip the lid then again take product and again flip.
I do not like this. I would rather use another mirror. The applicator sponge
provided is not good. It absorbs all the powder and you have nothing to apply
on face. Use another brush or sponge for application.

Verdict:
Maybelline New York Fit Me Matte + Poreless Powder is a
pressed powder (compact powder) that is light weight. I got the shade Natural
Buff; it is for fair skin tone and cool undertones.
I have used it with a powder brush and with sponge. I would
recommend using with a powder brush for a natural look. When you dip your brush
into the pan the powder does not fly everywhere, that’s a good thing.
I have used this powder over foundation, over only concealer
and directly. It works well in each case. If you use it to set base makeup,
your makeup will last longer and it also controls oil.
You can use concealer to hide dark spots, acne marks and
dark circles and set with this powder for natural look.
It gives medium coverage so to use without foundation works
well for natural look. It blurs your pores, blemishes and dark spots.
The staying power is 3-4 hours if you do not use a setting
spray. You will have to reapply it if you want your makeup to last. But with
setting spray the staying power increases.
It does hide pores and gives matte finish to your face.
If we compare between loose powder and pressed powder,
pressed powder works better for dry skin. But this pressed powder might not work
for dry skin. I have combination skin and this powder made my dry patches drier.
This powder is recommended for normal to oily skin type. It
is good for oily skin type as it will absorb oil through its Perlite Mineral
Technology. It does this for a while and you will have to reapply.
This powder works great for setting eye lid makeup; my kohl
and liner did not smudge after I set my eye base makeup with this. I have oily
lids so it helped me a lot with that.
This powder is dermatologist tested and allergy tested. This
powder will not clog pores.
I will not recommend this powder for beginners as there are
other better options available in terms of packaging and applicators. Though it
is under ₹
500, but Maybelline New York White Super Fresh Compact is better option that is priced at ₹160.
Maybelline New York Fit Me Matte + Poreless Powder is a
decent compact powder that is easily available with medium coverage recommended
for oily and combination skin type. The powder glides smoothly and gives even
texture. It does decent work with the Maybelline New York Fit Me Matte + Poreless
Foundation. Buy it only if you are a fan of Fit Me range.
