About the company:

The Face Shop is a South Korea based skincare and cosmetics manufacturer, retailer and franchise business. It is a subsidiary of LG (yes the household appliances LG ;-) ). The Face Shop headquarter is in Seoul. It was founded in December 2003. It was launched in India in October 2016. It is known for their nature and culture inspired products.

How to use:
Lather up the foaming cleanser with water and massage onto the face with a circular motion. Rinse with lukewarm water and then with cold water as a finishing touch.

What they say:

Brightening, deep-foaming cleanser effectively cleanses away makeup as the whipped cream texture gently envelops the skin. Formulated with natural cleansing agents including Rice Extract and Soapwart Extract, it leaves skin looking clean and bright.

What I say:

Packaging:

The cleansing foam comes in a tube. The tube is large as the quantity is more. That makes it a less travel friendly but the product does not spill out. It has a flip-cap which is tightly secured. When I opened the product for the first time I had to unscrew the flip-cap and remove the air-tight tin-foil secured on the outlet hole. This is done to protect the product in transit as it keeps it safe from spillage and spoilage. The ingredients are mentioned on the bottle.

It is pearly white foam with smooth texture.

It has a mild sweet smell that does not irritate the nose.

Natural Ingredients:

·         Rice extract: rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants for healthy and beautiful skin.

·         Saponaria Officinalis Extract (commonly known as Soapwort): used to make natural soaps

Verdict:

This product is my first purchase from the Rice Water range of The Face Shop. I am in love with this foaming cleanser. It does not dry your skin after the wash as it has moisturizing property. The skin feels plump and fresh after use. It brightens the skin for a short while (10-15 min). It removes all the makeup and dirt from your face. The texture is smooth and spreads evenly on the face; small quantity is enough to lather up the whole face. I use 2 pea-sized pumps just to make sure all face and neck area is covered. I even used it over my eyes as it is a gentle cleanser. This is a really good cleanser for all type of skins, especially combination skin. It does hydrate the skin but do not skip moisturizer. It’s a little pricey but you get a good quantity and they always have discount or some offer going on different online portal.
