The Face Shop is a South Korea based skincare and cosmetics manufacturer, retailer and franchise business. It is a subsidiary of LG (yes the household appliances LG ;-) ). The Face Shop headquarter is in Seoul. It was founded in December 2003. It was launched in India in October 2016. It is known for their nature and culture inspired products.

How to use:

• Shake well before usage.
• Apply adequate amount on facial cotton and softly wipe around eyes and lips.

This two-phase, dual-action makeup remover gently removes makeup from the eyes and lips. Formulated with Rice Extract, it leaves skin feeling moisturized.

What I say:

Packaging:

The two-phase makeup remover comes in PP bottle (strong plastic bottle). The cap fits well on the bottle. The hole provided is perfect as adequate amount of product comes out of it. It is a travel friendly bottle. All the ingredients are mentioned on the back of the bottle.

    

Physical Appearance:

It is two phase liquid. The bottom part has the watery liquid and the top part has milky liquid. When you shake the bottle you get a homogeneous solution.

Fragrance:

It has a mild sweet smell that does not irritate the nose.

Ingredients:

·         Rice extract: rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants for healthy and beautiful skin.

·         Phaseolus root extract: rich in ammino acids

·         Morniga oleifera seed oil: rich in ammino acids

·         Meadowfoam oil: has moisturizing property

·         Saponaria Officinalis Extract (commonly known as Soapwort): used to make natural soaps

Verdict:

First, I used the makeup remover to remove all type of lip makeup i.e. liquid lipstick, matte lipstick, lip stains, lip gloss, lip liner etc. and it removed makeup in one go. For liquid lipstick and dark shades you need to hold the cotton pad for 3-4 seconds to break it down. It did not dry my lips.

Now for eye makeup, it easily removed eye shadow and eye liner. I had to work a little with the waterproof mascara. I think the most important property of any eye makeup remover is to get rid of the kohl (or you get panda eyes). I had to wipe 2 -3 times to get all the kohl out. I used the makeup remover to remove face makeup as well. It’s a gentle makeup remover so it did not irritate the skin. All in all a really good makeup remover that does not leave any oily layer or milky layer. I used the makeup remover on drug store as well high end makeup. I would recommend this makeup remover for people with oily and combination skin and dry skin people can give it a try as it has moisturizing property.

It does burn a little when it goes into the eye. (Well it is a cleanser so just be careful while using it)

·         No oily or milky layer left behind

Cons

·         Pricey (but you can buy when they have offers and discounts)

·         Takes time to break down kohl and mascara
