Clinique is an American Company that manufactures skincare, cosmetics, toiletries and fragrances. It is a subsidiary of Estee Lauder Company. Clinique was founded in 1968. It’s headquarter is located in New York. It launched in India in the year 2007.

How to use:

• Use twice a day, morning and night.
• Apply with a cotton ball, sweeping gently over face and neck.

What I say:

Packaging:

Clinique Clarifying Lotion comes in a green plastic bottle with a screw-on cap. The bottle is sturdy but it is bulky making it less travel friendly. The hole provided for dispensing the lotion is quite huge, which results in spillage and wastage.

Physical Appearance:

Clinique Clarifying Lotion is transparent liquid like water.

Fragrance:

Clinique Clarifying Lotion does not have a smell.

Verdict:

Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1.0 is for very dry to dry skin. As I have very dry skin in winters, I bought this version of the clarifying lotion. There are other variations available for different skin types. This lotion is Step-2 of the 3-step skin care of Clinique.

Clinique Clarifying Lotion is an exfoliator cum toner. The exfoliator will clean all the dirt from your skin. It also removes dry skin flakes revealing a smoother and brighter looking skin. It also works as a toner preparing your skin for moisturiser or hydrators. This lotion cleans pores effectively. It also contains salicylic acid that will keep acne at bay.

This lotion contains no alcohol, which is great because generally all the toners contain alcohol. As it is a Clinique product so it does not have any fragrance. Also, no parabens and no phthalates.

For oily skin the exfoliator will control excess oil production.

For dry skin the exfoliator will remove surface flakes for better moisture absorption.

After using the whole bottle of the clarifying lotion, I noticed that my pores were reduced, blackheads were reduced, blemishes and dark spot were lighter and my acne was under control. Though this lotion is little drying so instead of two times I used it once for my night time skin care.

For an expensive product, we expect that the dispenser should be proper. But the hole is so huge that every time the lotion spills or we get excess product on the cotton pad. Clinique should change the packaging.

Clinique Clarifying Lotion is a liquid exfoliator. It is quite expensive being a high end product. If you want to invest in your skin care then go for this product.

Cons:

• Wastage because of the huge hole dispener
• Spillage because of the huge hole dispenser
• Dries skin

Will I repurchase? No. (Because of packaging)

Do I recommend? I would recommend for the benefits but just because of packaging I won’t.
